When a massive creature, long thought to be extinct, attacks a deep-sea submersible, leaving its crew trapped at the bottom of the Pacific, only one man can help. With time running out, the visionary oceanographer behind the dive hires rescue driver Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) to save the crew and the sea itself from an unimaginable threat—a 75-foot-long prehistoric shark known as the Megaladon.
