Truth and Dare: DIG! XX

Released in 2004, Ondi Timoner’s now-classic rock-doc DIG! perfectly captured the love-hate relationship between psych-rockers The Brian Jonestown Massacre and the more polished, poppy The Dandy Warhols. DIG! XX adds an additional thirty-six minutes of material to the original cut. This includes even more passive-aggression, self-destructive behaviour and narration from tambourine-player extraordinaire Joel Gion. It’s an exhilarating reinvention of a film which was described by Dave Grohl as “a masterpiece” and The Brian Jonestown Massacre’s Anton Newcombe as “bold-faced lies and misinterpretation of fact”.

You won’t want to miss the Canadian premiere of DIG! XX, a rock ‘n’ rollin’ chronicle of warring egos, on-stage meltdowns, bad haircuts and Harry Dean Stanton inexplicably showing up at a house party.

Join us before the screening to receive a wild zine specially designed for the event and a music video by Toronto-based artist, Huxlii on the big screen!

Stick around after the Friday, February 21 screening for a special Q&A.

Thank you to our community partner Insomniac Film Festival.

Doors will open 45 minutes before the screening.
