Continuing our Cinema Umami food film series, join us for another meditative documentary with A Handful of Salt. This film focuses on the craftspeople who continue to make salt with a technique called “Agehama-shiki,” that has been passed down since ancient times, and the lush natural environment of the northern tip of the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture. Director ISHII Kaori will be participating in a virtual / livestream Q&A session following the screening.
