Disability Culture Club Virtual Conversation with the new RAFFTO Artistic Director, Lora Campbell

Each month for the Disability Culture Club, we will gather online for a relaxed conversation about a subject or media text relating to disability culture. Whether you’re new to disability cultures or a cultural connoisseur looking to exchange ideas and mingle with peers - this event is for you! 

This event, led by ReelAbilities Film Festival Toronto, invites you to meet RAFFTO's new Artistic Director, Lora Campbell!

Lora Campbell is a Canadian Screen Award nominated, disabled, trans-nonbinary multidisciplinary arts worker from Newfoundland, Canada who has created award winning content for over a decade. They have directed the Emmy Award winning television series ODD SQUAD (PBS), Canadian Screen Award winning THE FABULOUS SHOW WITH FAY AND FLUFFY (Family), AUNTIE B’S PLACE (CBC) and more. They have created, written and directed on digital series including YOGA 101 (CBC), SOUL DECISION COMEDY (CBC), THE BEAVERTON DIGITAL (Comedy Network) and CALICO CHATS (Family Channel). In 2018 they received Canadian Screen Award and Canadian Comedy Award nominations for THE BEAVERTON DIGITAL and SOUL DECISION COMEDY respectively. In 2020 their Queer Comedy Heist feature Let’s Do This participated in the international development program Breaking Through the Lens.  

Lora has also facilitated programs, facilitated and mentored for the Inside Out LGBTQ Film Festival, St. John’s Women’s International Film Festival and is currently the Artistic Director of the ReelAbilities Film Festival Toronto.
