The Miles Nadal JCC in partnership with Shoresh, the Calgary JCC and Hazon, present Cycles in Time: Creative Shmita Explorations, to support the community in more Shmita connections rooted in Canada. Through partnering with Hazon Shmita Prizes, Canadians were encouraged to make art inspired by Shmita rooted in ritual objects, texts, music and practices that facilitate both a personal and collective engagement with Jewish cycles of time. Through this project, Hazon is harnessing the power of the arts to explore the intersection of Shmita wisdom with contemporary Jewish life.
