This presentation explores the vampire’s myth as presented in literature and adapted to films. Through the simultaneously terrifying and seducing figure of the vampire, we can examine our relationship with the Other as well as our fears. From Bram Stoker to Stephenie Meyer, from Nosferatu to Underworld, literature and film are intertwined and redefine each time the myth of the vampire in order to scare us or seduce us one more time.
