LECTURE: Brûlé-Wendats expedition

At 7pm

The Société d’Histoire de Toronto highlights the story of Ontarians and Franco-Ontarians, ensures the preservation of every sort of historical documents, and supports researches on history.

Étienne Brûlé was the first Frenchman to settle in Ontario in 1610. This project is part of many activities marking the 400th anniversary of Samuel de Champlain’s coming to Ontario. This re-enactment commemorates the 1615 expedition to Pennsylvania, ordered by Champlain and lead by Brûlé, to rally the Andastes, and retraces one of the trails they might have taken.
