Join us for this free event to celebrate the 4th Annual RBC Emerging Artist People's Choice Award. Cash bar, hors d'oeuvres by A la Carte Kitchen Inc.  & live entertainment.

After the reception, join us for the RBC Emerging Artist People's Choice Award Panel Discussion moderated by the Gardiner Museum's Chief Curator, Rachel Gotlieb, from 6 - 7 pm. The winner of the award will be announced at 7pm.

Both events are free to the public.

The RBC Emerging Artist People's Choice Award exhibition runs from September 2 to October 14, 2014. Supported by the RBC Emerging Artists Project, the $10,000 award – voted by the public at the exhibition and online – honours a Canadian artist (or permanent resident) who has been out of school and practicing professionally with clay as part of his/her artist practice for seven years or less. A national panel of artists, curators and arts educators nominated the five exceptional artists.  

This year’s nominees are Zimra Beiner, Jess Riva Cooper, David R. Harper, Robin Lambert, and Jordan McDonald.
