Italian fervour in London

Many were the foreign musicians who came to London at the end of the 17th century to try their luck. This capital, especially open to European influences, saw the flourishing of a virtuoso, passionate and flamboyant style, a blend of Italy’s sensuality and England’s harmonic originality. On the program, works of Corelli, Purcell, Geminiani and Finger. A special concert by La Rêveuse, an ensemble specializing in the music of the 17th and 18th centuries that has enjoyed great success in France and throughout the world, having won awards such as the 5 Diapasons, 3 fff Télérama, etc. Ensemble La rêveuse: Serge Saitta (transverse flute), Stéphan Dudermel (violin), Florence Bolton (viola da gamba), Benjamin Perrot, (theorbo) and Clément Geoffroy (harpsichord).
