Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: "LUCIO SILLA"
An evening with Marshall and Gerard

A special free, open-to-the-public lecture by Opera Atelier’s Co-Artistic Director Marshall Pynkoski and Set Designer Gerard Gauci.

The lecture will focus on Opera Atelier’s spring production of Lucio Silla (April 7-16 at the Elgin Theatre), a marvelous early Mozart opera with glorious music and a libretto by Giovanni de Gamerra. It premiered in Milan in 1772. Our co-artistic directors, Marshall and Jeannette, brought their vision for Lucio Silla to La Scala in Milan last March, so with a story set in ancient Rome, an Italian librettist, and a Milanese production history, we have a true Italian connection!
