THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13: INUIT PIQUTINGIT (WHAT BELONGS TO INUIT)

This documentary follows a group of Inuit elders who decide to visit five North American museums in Toronto, Ottawa, New York, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. to see how their culture is portrayed through artefacts and information. Initiated to promote, preserve and document Inuit knowledge and language, the film offers powerful statements from the elders describing the emotional impact the journey had on them. Directed by Bernadette Dean and Zacharias Kunuk, 2006
