Cage Call 25

Cage Call 25 is a retrospective exhibition of the most in-depth photographic study of hard rock mining communities ever produced in Canada. Created by photographer Louie Palu, the monumental project was undertaken between 1991-2005 in Northern Quebec and Ontario. Since then work has been published, collected and exhibited worldwide.

Louie Palu is a documentary photographer and filmmaker. His work has been published worldwide and his photographs are held in numerous collections including the National Gallery of Canada, Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Harry Ransom Center, National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. and many others. His work focuses on human rights, conflict and poverty. He is a 2016 Guggenheim Fellow.
