Pavlo

Influenced by his travels, Pavlo’s classic Mediterranean music captivatingly integrates sounds from around the globe while staying true to his distinct Mediterranean guitar signature.

Gidon Kremer and Daniil Trifonov

Violinist Gidon Kremer produces a brilliant, concerto-like sound with his magical passion and bold bowing. Described as “freakishly brilliant” by The Washington Post, charismatic young Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov has “power in spades, crystalline passage-work, and a pearlised singing tone: he’s already got it all.” (The Independent) Together they perform works by Mozart, Schubert, and Rachmaninoff.

Presented with the generous support of Dr. Deanne and Mr. Joseph Bogdan.

Maple Blues Awards

Join us for the annual all-star concert, awards event, and after party! This annual celebration of Canada’s blues music will feature the finest guest musicians from across Canada representing the most current blues music on the scene, all backed by the renowned Maple Blues Band.

Presented in partnership with the Toronto Blues Society.

The King’s Singers

A holiday season celebration, a capella! “Enchanting the ear from first to last note,” (Gramophone) The King's Singers are instantly recognisable for their impeccable vocal blend, flawless articulation, incisive timing, and delightfully British wit. This festival concert will include Renaissance motets, hymns, carols, cantatas, and songs for Christmas.

Hot Sardines & the Barbra Lica Quintet

Take a blustery brass lineup, layer it over a rhythm section led by a Fats Waller-style stride-piano virtuoso, and tie the whole thing together with singer “Miz Elizabeth” Bougerol, a magnetic, one-of-the-boys frontwoman whose voice recalls another era, and you have the Hot Sardines. Named one of Canada's Top 5 Female Jazz Singers by CBC Radio 2, Barbra Lica brings her infectious fun to Koerner Hall.

Canadian Brass

The tradition continues! Our beloved brass ensemble returns home to perform holiday favourites at this celebration of the season. “These are the men who put brass music on the map.” (The Washington Post)

Generously supported by David G. Broadhurst.

Sultans and Divas

This multi-artist concert features mezzo-soprano and CBC radio host Julie Nesrallah; soprano Miriam Khalil; master oud player Bassam Bishara; OktoEcho; Juno nominees and Canadian Folk Music Award winners, Sultans of String, led by violinist Chris McKhool; and many more!

Presented in partnership with The Canadian Arab Institute.
